He developed logotherapy and existential analysis in the 1930's. Existential analysis is designed to bring to consciousness the "hidden" meaning or spiritual dimension of a client. The focus is on the human spirit and "the meaning of human existence as well as on "man's search for such a meaning." Dr. Paul Wong has been a pioneer in advancing Viktor Frankl's model into what we call Meaning Centered Therapy. The use of Meaning Centered Therapy as an integrative tool used in 12-Step programs and other addiction modalities\, such as Motivational Interviewing\, can enhance a deeper and transformational experience for the person struggling with addiction/abuse.
