“Now What!?!” What’s New in California Employment Law 2020
Every new year brings new challenges for organizations doing business in California. Not surprising, 2020 will not be an exception. From legislation prohibiting “hairstyle” discrimination to attempting to clarify who is an independent contractor in California, Governor Newsom has been very busy in his first term. Not to be out-done, the California courts have issued numerous decisions regulating the workplace including the payment of wages, enforceability of arbitration agreements and reversing long-standing precedent on the enforcement of employee non-solicitation agreements.
This session will highlight the latest developments, with a special focus on the practical and proactive ways to manage the changes, including practical take away tips on how to update your policies and practices in the workplace in light of these changes.
